Public Serious Comments On LIGER Movie and Vijay Deverakonda, LIGER Movie Review

Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of Vijay Deverakonda starrer move Liger. Finally released on August 25 This movie Director, Writer and Dialogues by Puri Jagannadh.

Vijay Deverakonda is the hero and Ananya Pandey is the heroine. But here Annanya Pandey will act in a Telugu movie for the first time. Also Ramya Krishna and Rohit Roy are Played in pivotal roles and Others acted. Organized jointly by Dharma Productions and Puri Connects. Cinematography Vishnu Sarma and Music by Sunil Kashyap and Produced by Puri Jagannadh, Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur, Apoorva Mehta and Hiroo Yash Johar.

It has to be said that the movie Puri Jagannath, which was based on sports, could not meet the expectations of the audience. Even if the story is not new, he is good at shaping the characters.

Everyone said that they spent a lot of effort to make the film a hit on social media. It must be said that the film could not meet the expectations of the audience to become a hit. After seeing the movie, some of the audience are expressing happiness and some are saying that it is not good.

Any movie written by Purigaru is very good. However, it can be said that the written story is a dialogue but who does not actually write like that. Puri has given many hit movies to the Telugu audience. Comedy, songs timing and especially the story disappointed the audience.

In the words of the audience, Vijay is saying that there is nothing here except difficulty. In other words, everyone likes something differently. It seemed that I could see it without any problem. That's why I wanted to write this review. Ramya Krishna's performance was difficult for Vijay and the performances of other actresses and actors were well done. It must be said that they have done justice to their performance.

Showing Mike Tyson in a Telugu film for the first time also surpassed the huge expectations of the film. But in the end, the public thinks that it is disappointing. Overall, the movie is not suitable for Puri and the public says that it can be made better.

Puri Jagannadh's Liger had such pre-release hype that there were only two ways it could have gone. He would either become a massive hit or a spectacular tank. Considering how the film doesn't offer anything new except Vijay Deverakonda's new fan body, it's not hard to guess how it fared.

The foul-mouthed, stuttering Liger (Vijay Deverakonda) is raised by a single mother, Balamani (Ramya Krishnan), who wants her son to become an MMA fighter, particularly a jeet kune, just like his father. He takes him to Mumbai to train under a famous coach (Ronit Roy) in hopes of winning the national championship. So this movie is a sports drama, right? No way. Despite being asked to focus, Liger falls in love with a social media influencer named Tanya (Ananya Panday), who pursues him relentlessly after seeing him struggle. Only problem? She is the sister of his nemesis Sanju (Vishu).

So this is a love story of a rich girl and a poor boy, right? No way. Then there's Mark Anderson (Mike Tyson), Liger's childhood hero, who was brought into the fold in the strangest of ways. Then it's mindless commercial cinema, isn't it? Yes, unfortunately it's not very good.

Puri has never been very logical, but he makes his characters so… 'stupid' as Mike calls Liger in one scene, you can't help but wonder why smarter writing wasn't involved. Despite being the sister of a martial artist, Tanya calls Liger 'Chinese' for fighting the way he does, calls his martial art form 'kung fu' and is so surprised to see him kicking. Are we to believe that she has never seen her own brother fight in a ring or even knows what martial arts he practices? Balamani warns his son to stay away from "deyyal" (demons), categorizing women as beautiful temptresses who will ruin his life. The way these scenes are written scares you. While it's good that Puri refrains from going full-on misogyny (small nit) as he's usually prone to do, he can't help but spoil one well-choreographed fight scene involving women and a scene that sees Ananya and her friends with rude dialogues. Also, why is a professional MMA fighter surprised that women can krav maga in 2022?

Lack of logic aside, Liger leaves no mark as there is simply no innovation in the way it is written. The film follows the usual template of sports drama mixed with commercial cinematography - which is fine, but just not well done. Sunil Kashyap's background score and Vishnu Sharma's cinematography are stylish, but even that doesn't hold your attention for long. Vijay dances his heart out in Akdi Pakdi and Coka 2.0 but the songs don't suit a story like this. The rest of the songs, especially the problematic Aafat, are lousy, as are some of the fight scenes. Even Liger's stuttering is used as a convenient plot device.
Coming to the only good part of this movie - Vijay Deverakonda. His dialogues, especially since he stutters, can be hit and miss, but the actor certainly brings sincerity to his role.

Liger, his character, is very monochromatic. The way his trainer and mom (the latter more than the former) are prone to long speeches makes you wonder if the character will go through any growth, which never happens. Despite being a chai wala from Mumbai, he conveniently opens the door when needed, so his 'match' isn't too big. And despite all this, Vijay doesn't just look fit and handsome; makes you root for the character. It's sad that the material doesn't allow you to do that.
Ramya Krishnan is cast as a supportive mother, but she shouts a lot.

Ananya Panday looks cute but when it comes to acting, it is clear that a lot of improvement needs to be done. Srinu's getup is hilarious in some scenes despite the silly dialogues given to him. Ali, Ronit Roy, Vishu and other actors are fine. The much-hyped Mike Tyson cameo is disappointing, but a very meta ear-biting scene is written all over the place for fans. But no one buys that ending.

You will understand if you watch the movie, you may like it, go to the theater once and watch the movie. It should be said that it was average in the second half, which was okay in the first half. If you have also seen the movie please leave your comment below and thank you for your experience.
